Ole Nilssen comes from Løten, Hedmark in the eastern part of Norway, and plays the diatonic accordeon as well as the chromatic accordeon. In spite of his young age, he has distinguished himself as one of Norway’s foremost folk musicians and dancers.
He grew up in a family highly appreciating the traditional music and dance, and also learned how to play by his father and grandfather.
Ole is in high demand as a dance musician, an ensemble musician, and as a dance and music teacher.
He is a graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Music.
